Your brain may be more powerful than you thought.
Researchers say the tiny branches of brain cells that were once thought to act like "wiring" may actually behave like computers themselves.
The human brain has about 100 billion neurons, and more than a quadrillion synapses wiring all those neurons together.
There are shorter connections inside those called dendrites, and now researchers say these dendrites may also be able to process information.
They found electrical spikes which indicate more going on than they previously thought, like finding out your computer is thousands of times more powerful than you realized.
