Streaming TV services having whole seasons of shows like Breaking Bad, Arrested Development and House of Cards are causing viewers to watch hour after hour in one sitting. But binge-watching isn't really a new thing. Back in 1993, all 29 episodes of Twin Peaks were released in a six-tape package, they flew off the shelves and people spent hours watching one episode after the other. TV ratings company Nielsen can now measure binge-watching and they say viewers are streaming entire seasons at breakneck pace on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and other outlets.
